WHAT IS FITNESS REHAB?

Fitness Rehab is the middle ground between rehabilitation and pure strength training. It is a guided process for individuals with chronic or reoccurring musculoskeletal problems that limit their ability to consistently pursue regular exercise.

For some of us, attempts at an active lifestyle to the degree we desire has been difficult. For others, impossible.

Traditional rehabilitation in our health care system often times seeks to reduce the symptoms, but not address the underlying problem. As a result many people are forced to avoid activity for lack of better options.

More often that not it is not what you do, but how you do it.

If you have chronic pain or reoccurring problems that prevent you from regular, rigorous activity then Fitness Rehab is for you.

Common conditions that are addressed are:

Chronic or reoccurring back, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, ankle pain.

Chronic muscular tension, stiffness or lack of flexibility.

Poor balance.

Exercise induced asthma.

Scoliosis.

Osteoporosis.

The process relies heavily on the principles of the Postural Restoration Institute, which acknowledges both the inherent asymmetry to the human body, as well as the common compensatory patterns often seen. Essentially; we all twist, turn and lock out in predictable ways, and eventually it can contribute to problems.

As these compensatory patterns are managed, progression to a variety of strength and fitness activities is taken on, integrating this newly acquired body-awareness.

How far your strength and fitness is progressed is up to you; this process is collaborative and the end goals are yours.

Give enough time and effort, many great things are possible.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

All sessions are an hour in length, with the exception of the initial appointment, which is 90 minutes. This is to ensure your situation is clearly understood, and still allow plenty of time for comprehensive treatment and exercise.

Due to the increased amount of time the initial session requires, your first session will cost $145. All subsequent sessions will simply be an hour long, and only requires $95.

Beyond the initial assessment session, a five session bundle can be purchased for $435.

How many sessions will be necessary, and how frequent they will need to occur is dependent on your individual situation and goals.
